I thought I'd be a really nice aunt this year and send my nieces and nephews in CA a package of easter stuff. I got each of them bunny ears, a little peter rabbit book, and candy. I used those cute cellophane bags and filled five bags with cadburry creme eggs, cadburry chocolate eggs (with the hard candy shell), and assorted other candy.
When the package arrived, all of the cellophane bags were slit open and all of the chocolate eggs were cut in half! Evidently the US Postal Service thinks I'm smuggling drugs or weapons of mass destruction . . . . in candy the size of a nickel!
They're not even nice like the airport - they at least stick a note in whatever it was they violated to let you know they went through your stuff.
Next time I'll use FedEx!

no way! thats nuts!!! i hate the post office too...!
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting anxiously for months for you to update this thing...
No kidding. I've been waiting for an update, too. Of course I want to comment on your posts. I've been secretly checking our your blog because I'm interested, and also because I'm nosy.
They were probably looking for marshmellow filled eggs. That's what I'd be doing if I were a postal worker. I bet they get hungry while they are out delivering or sorting. I wouldn't eat anyone elses easter candy though, unless it was stuffed with marshmellow.
